Spring is here!
Category - General
Spring seems to finally be here, which means it's time to crawl out of hibernation and get out and do things. I went along to check out the new Rainforests of the World area at SeaLife London Aquarium!
Hi guys!
How are you all? Easter holidays are finally here, hurrah. I hope you all have lots of fun things planned. I've started to visit lots of fab new places myself. This week I went to the SeaLife London Aquarium on the Southbank in London.I love aquariums, I always have. I think it is something to do with the peace and quiet and the amazing colours of the underwater world. Scuba diving is one of my favourite hobbies, but as I can't spend all my time at the bottom of the ocean, a day at the SeaLife London Aquarium was an ideal alternative.
The SeaLife London Aquarium has recently undergone a major revamp, with the launch of the brand new Rainforests of the World section. This area takes you from the mangrove rivers of the Amazon, to the local Thames Estuary, showcasing some of the fabulous creatures to be found in and alongside the water.
In the new rainforests area, West African dwarf crocodiles sit silently in the water, while nearby deadly Poison Arrow Tree Frogs hop fromo branch to branch. The biggest is just 15mm long. You can even come face to face with flesh eating pirahnas. Rainforests of the World is fabulous and contains over 4,000 new animals, who join the thousands of other fish and marine animals living at the aquarium. My favourite is the giant turtle that cruises gracefully around the huge marine tank alongside toothy sharks, I could watch them all day.
It was great day out and I learnt tons about the animal and the habitats they live in. There are SeaLife Centres across the country so check out www.sealifeeurope.com for details!
