X Factor report: Redhorse10
We asked two of our firstnews.co.uk readers Rockgirl and Redhorse10 to report on this year's X Factor. Here is what Redhorse10 has to say...
We started this week in London. First up was the two twins that made up 'Twem'. The two men, both aged twenty five, had the stage presence and the likeability factor, but when they sand 'Just Dance' by Lady Gaga, we found out that they were terrible singers! The always honest Simon Cowell very sensibly said no, but Cheryl and Louis said yes! Louis said, as usual, that everyone seemed to like them. Considering that X Factor is a singing competition, Simon made the right choice in my opinion. What do you think? Is this the new French Jedward, all the way from Paris? We'll see Twen in round two.
Thirty seven year old Storm Lee may be one to watch. After some comments from Simon on his name, Storm was given a chance and three yeses. We'll see him in boot camp, along with John Adeleye. My prediction is that he will sail through to the top ten after his stunning performance. Nervous Cher Lloyd aged just sixteen had the stage presence and also got through after singing her song. She literally became someone else when she started to sing.
Sixteen year old Liam Payne from Birmingham returned after a two year break from the X Factor. Simon had told him back in 2008 at the judge's house round to get some GCSE's, so Liam had spent some time doing that before returning. He sang 'Cry Me A River' and he really did sound like a young version of Michael Buble! It was 'incredible' as Simon said. Simon even stood up with Cheryl for a standing ovation, a rare sight in the auditions. Liam must have been thrilled, and we wish him well in the competition!
Finally, duo Ablisa came onto the stage in Birmingham. They started talking to answer the judge's questions, but they made no sense and the audience got a bit impatient and gave them a boo! After this boo, Abby stormed off of the stage. Simon described this as her first tantrum. Luckily for them, Lisa got her back onstage and the duo sang their song... badly. Afterwards, Simon told them they had a very bad attitude, the worst that he'd seen in the contest, he said. From here, Abby seemed more agreeable and she was defensive to the audience and judges when Lisa started moaning. Lisa told the audience to shut up, but Abby told her to stop it because they were entitled to an opinion - which they were! That's why they were there, of course, but Lisa, who was arguing still, clearly couldn't see that. When Lisa went too far by being rude to our guest judge, Abby punched Lisa in the face and the two girls stormed off of the stage. They were kept separate backstage, and they weren't pleased with each other at all. Abby said she wouldn't be speaking to Lisa again, because she was going over the top and she was so rude, but Lisa said that she didn't actually know who the guest judge was and she wasn't trying to be rude. Dermot told Abby she couldn't strike Lisa, even if she had been so rude! Simon made sure the message got delivered that the girls got four no's! That was the icing on top of the cake!
Tune into ITV1 next Saturday for more X Factor!
