We asked two of our firstnews.co.uk readers Rockgril and Redhorse10 to report on this year's X Factor. Here is what Redhorse10 has to say...

X Factor fans will know that the second show of this series was shown on Saturday.

The show kicked off in Dublin, where Katy Perry temporarily joined the judging panel as a guest judge. The last time X Factor visited Dublin was four years ago, so the excitement was great in Ireland! Louis Walsh was exceptionally excited to see the talent in his home country! Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole were both excited to see the talent in Dublin, and the ever optimistic Simon Cowell was prepared to blame Louis if Dublin lacked talent.

First up was boy band Temple Fire who were very confident. Mark, Glen, Evan and John made up this boy band. The quartet had already assumed that they were good singers and dancers, but when they started their audition, we found out that they could do neither! It was a terrible start to the Dublin auditions. After receiving four resounding no's the boys left the auditions. Whilst Katy was amused and Cheryl was shocked at this audition, Glen was very annoyed backstage! This is when Louis started to get blamed!

After this, a forty-seven-year-old man named Noel Keegan came onto the stage, hoping to do well. He is a pub singer who was not very good at all! Noel began his song, and Simon tried to stop him, but naughty Noel either ignored him or didn't hear, because he kept on going, throwing in some bad dance moves. And, of course, he got four no's from our lovely judging panel.

This was followed by some truly awful auditions. Laura O'Keefe, the twenty-three-year-old childcare worker sang New York by Alicia Keys. Simon said it was a ridiculous choice of song. Laura left with four no's. There was also Michael McCarthy who came on just before Noel. The thirty two year old student was awful and got himself no's across the board. One man went as far as to dress up in a tiger suit and come onstage, ready to sing the 'Tiger Song'. Katy was not impressed at the lack of talent in Dublin, and Louis was very shocked.

After a quick break, things were looking up in Dublin. Lifeguard Stephen Colcannon impressed Katy more than anyone else, but got himself three yes' from Cheryl, Louis and Katy, but one no from Simon, who called Stephen a bad singer. He did the same to girl group Sugar Bullet, criticizing their odd choice of a group name. This group of five young girls harmonized well and got through thanks to Louis, Cheryl and Katy. Again, Simon said no when part time waitress Sadbh O'Donnell finished her song. Cheryl said that Sadbh had a gorgeous voice. Simon argued that she had no personality, but Katy disagreed.

At last, Simon gave his first yes of the day when unemployed Rebecca Creighton finished her song 'Cry Me Out' by Pixie Lott. The next act impressed everyone, getting herself a standing ovation. Modest Mary Byrne, aged fifty, auditioned. She always sang at the till when she was at work in Tesco's, and her fellow workers said that she had something 'special'. She came onto stage and sang a very difficult song by Tom Jones, called 'I Who Have Nothing'. When she started to sing, everyone was pleased for Mary. After her standing ovation, she got four yes' and made it through to boot camp. She said afterwards that she had had lots of support from her family and friends, and she was so pleased, especially when Cheryl told her that it was her favourite audition of Dublin!

Katy left the panel here.

After the break, we were back in London. Michael Lewis aged twenty six used Michael Jackson as his inspiration and sang some Michael Jackson songs. He was all about positivity and love, but when he started to sing and dance, the audience showed some 'negativity' as Michael kept saying. He was very oddly dressed, wearing a sort of red bell boy outfit. He was rude to the audience and got himself no's all across the board.

There were a few more successful and unsuccessful auditions, and then we went into the final section of the show, when Anastacia Baker came to the stage. Single mother Anastacia had been knocked out of the show at Cheryl's house in 2008. Now she was back and even more determined. Her first song was not so successful, but Simon gave her a second chance, and she was put through once more, after Simon had told her that she was singing like a cabaret singer. He gave her some useful advice which helped, and now we will see her again in boot camp.

If you want to see more X Factor, you will have to tune into ITV1 on Saturday 4th September at 7:30pm! Fun guaranteed!
