The Obamas get their Christmas tree

America's First family are of of the first to put up their Christmas tree this year.

US First Lady Michelle Obama, daughters Sasha and Malia and their faithful dog Bo excitedly greeted the White House Christmas tree earlier this week.

The tree arrived on November 25 - one month ahead of the big day - on the back of a horse-drawn cart.

The tree is said to be a 19ft tall balsam fir from Wisconsin.
