Purple calf born in Serbia

Farmers were shocked after a purple calf was born in Serbia.

The purple calf is the first of its kind to ever be born.

The calf has been named 'Milka' after the purple cows on the front of the Milka chocolate bar wrappers.

Milka is the first male calf born to his mother Djurdja.

"We love him a lot and we would like to keep him, especially because he is very cuddly," said the cows owner Radojka Glavonjić.

"He isn’t cheeky at all, has a very mild nature, so it will be very painful if we should be separated. "I know for sure that we won’t send him to the slaughterhouse, but other options are still open."

Experts say that Milka's special colouring is the result of genetic crossbreeding, and that he'll probably turn to a more 'normal' colour in a few days.
