In the wild, orangutans live in trees and spend very little time on the ground.

It seems the orangutans at Ouwehands Zoo in the Netherlands have spent so much time on the ground they’ve forgotten how to swing from tree to tree.

The zoo owners have recently changed their enclosure to make tree swinging easier but the orangutans have barely given it a go. Olympic gymnast Epke Zonderland is hoping the orangutans will copy him swinging from tree to tree and soon get off the ground.
