Ready brek, Shanaze Reade and the Department for Transport unite to promote child road safety

According to official government statistics, children are more at risk from road accidents from 3pm onwards in autumn and winter - especially if they are not wearing high visibility gear.

Ready brek is trying to prevent these accidents by supporting the Department for Transport’s ‘Be Bright Be Seen’ campaign and by teaching children that they should wear bright, reflective clothing if they are walking in the dark.

Along for the ride is someone who knows a thing or two about bikes and safety - Olympic BMX star Shanaze Reade. Watch the video to see what she says about road safety and staying seen!

Good, it shows you how to be healthy and is a great way to get kids out and about. Me alone would highly recommend you walk or ride your bike to school. Also, great tips on how to keep safe if your going to school on your own. P.S. I Like Shanaze Reade!
