There are lots of educational, thought-provoking and fun events for your students to take part in this Autumn term including:
Henry “The Fonz” Winkler OBE is back in October touring schools across the country with First News. Assembly and PSHE Lesson Resources are now available for KS2 & 3 to support the My Way! campaign in school.
These teaching resources support the World Without Bottles campaign to reduce plastic bottle use. In these two lessons, with homework activities, pupils will investigate the global environmental problems associated with the widespread use of plastic bottles. They will learn of the processes involved in producing, disposing of and recycling plastic bottles, and of the waste involved at each stage. They will investigate their own use of plastic bottles over the course of a week. Pupils will be introduced to the concept of ‘pre-cycling’ and develop strategies to reduce their own use of plastic bottles. The lessons are aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils.
