Through looking at the Butlins example, this resource provides materials and activities for the social history topic of how the British seaside holiday has changed over the last 60 years. By comparing past and present holidays at Butlins, it aims to encourage class discussion about what this tells us about our changing society. This resource can be used as part of the QCA KS2 History Unit 13: How has life in Britain changed since 1948.
