WIN the chance to be a young football pundit!

Calling all aspiring Gareth Southgates and Gabby Logans! Tesco and The FA are searching for young football pundits to report for The FA Tesco Skills Programme.
Are you passionate about football? Interested in learning and experiencing more about the game off the pitch?
Then you might be exactly what we are looking for! We are searching the UK for two enthusiastic children aged between 8 and 11 to report for us and become the first ever Young Pundits of The FA Tesco Skills Programme.
What does being an FA Tesco Skills Young Pundit mean?
Being a Young Pundit is a really exciting opportunity for all budding football reporters. If you are chosen, you will put your skills into practice by attending and reporting for your local FA Tesco Skills session. You’ll also have the unique chance to be appointed as guest writer for First News, reporting on a game you have recently watched or played.
But that’s not all! You will also be invited to attend an important football game with an exclusive chance to meet a mystery famous pundit! The role will also give you the rare opportunity to meet people who work in the industry and ask them the questions you have always wanted to.
How do I become an FA Tesco Skills Young Pundit?
To enter, all you need to do is write a 200-word report on a recent football game you have either watched or played. You’ll also need to send in a picture of yourself and don’t forget to get your parents’ consent!
The ten best entries will be short-listed and presented to our panel of expert judges.
Then two children will be selected to be our Young Pundits.

To be a great pundit, here are a few things that you need to be:
- Engaging and enthusiastic A very good communicator
- Confident writing independently Confident in front of the camera
- Passionate about football
The FA Tesco Skills Programme is a revolutionary approach to youth coaching that has been providing high quality football skills courses for 5 to 11 year old boys and girls of all abilities since 2007. 2.9 million places on football sessions have been provided so far and the programme aims to get 4.7 million kids active by 2014.

T&Cs
The winner(s) may be required to take part in media activity relating to the competition and agree to allowing Tesco and The FA to use their image/video in promotional material.
Competitions are open to those aged 8-11 and must have parents/guardians permission to enter.
Winner(s) details are available upon written request only. A SAE must be included.
All entries must be submitted via email to fatescoyoungpundits@launchgroup.co.uk or by post to Young Pundits, Launch Group, 13-14 Archer Street, London, W1D 7BD. Competitions must be received by midnight on the closing date.
Winner(s) will be selected according to the quality of their written submission.
No responsibility will be taken by First News, Tesco, The FA, or relevant third party promoters for any answers that are illegible, misdirected, lost for technical or other reasons or received after the closing date.None of the prizes may be exchanged or transferred and no cash alternative will be offered.
Only one prize per competition will be awarded per household.
Winners will be notified within 28 days of closing and the prize guidelines identified.
If the winner(s) of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts having been made by First News, Tesco, The FA and/or relevant third party promoter First News may dispose of the prize as it thinks fit without any liability to the winner(s) for having done so.
Entrants must be eligible to accept the prize which includes being free on the evening of 29th February to travel to London (with a parent or guardian), writing 4 x assisted columns for First News on footballing topics, attending up to 10 after school FA Tesco skills coaching sessions in their area.
Columns will be published in First News and on the First News website as well as the FA Tesco skills webpage. Winners must be willing to undertake publicity as part of the prize.
All travel and accommodation associated with the prize will be included.
