Should we be allowed to film wild animals?
Wildlife film and programme makers should be more careful about intruding on animals’ lives, says a university lecturer.
Dr Brett Mills, from the University of East Anglia’s film and television department, says that people aren’t allowed to be filmed without their knowledge and maybe animals shouldn’t either. He says that if animals are showing ‘secretive’ behaviour then film makers shouldn’t see that as a challenge to find out what they’re doing but as a sign the animal wants to be left alone.
What do you think? Do you want to see what animals get up to in the wild or do you think programme makers should leave them alone?

Comments: Just so long as they are not filmed loads, maybe just once every few months for example, and there is no threat to their safety, it it fine. You can also learn more about the animals.

Comments: No because if we cant film other humans in their natural habitat (and they dont film us), we shouldnt be able to film them. They should be able to have their privacy like we can have ours

Comments: its mean and the animals might be hurt by the light of the camera and they might use the video to track them down and shoot witch would be really mean think how you would like it to be shot when you mabey only 30 or if it was its baby who was shot that woul be even worse because you wouldnt like it if someone shot you when you were small and it would be very upsetting to the mother
