Should the UK try and stop the population from rising?

The UK’s population rise to 77million people by 2050. In comparison France, which has twice as much land as the UK, will have a population of 70million.

Other countries, like China, have tried to slow down how fast their population grows by introducing a one-child policy. This means that families can only have one child.

Other countries, such as the US have very strict immigration policies to restrict the number of people moving to the country.

What do you think? Should the UK try and stop the population from rising? *Please note: all comments are approved before they go live on the polls. So please do not write anything mean, rude or offensive.*
