YOU interviewed Dick & Dom!

We asked YOU to send us questions to ask Dick & Dom. This is what they said...

1. gothchick9 (Age 8)
How do you get famous because I would love to be famous

DICK: Make a good cup of tea! I started at the BBC as a runner - which basically is a job where you have to do whatever is asked of you, making tea, mopping the floor, but sometimes looking after big celebrities! Working in the right place helped me get an audition to be a presenter.

DOM:  Well... it helps to have a skill under your belt. So the first step is, 'decide what you want to be famous for'; singing, magic, dancing, comedy, football, modelling, cooking, then become the best you possibly can at that and work your way up from there. People will then start to become aware of you. Our advice would be.... don’t want to be ‘just famous’ - far better to have a skill under your belt.

2. dolphin35 (Age 10)
The question I’d like to ask you is, what is your favourite T.V show to be on (either to present or star in!). Thanks Dick and Dom!!

DICK: Dick and Dom in da Bungalow- it was live TV, which is always a laugh, and we got covered in custard every Saturday morning!

DOM:  Hello Dolphin! What a funny name! I agree with Disk, our favourite TV to be on so far has to be Dick and Dom in da Bungalow. It was 4 crazy years of mushy peas, tinned tomatoes, dirty Norris, creamy muck muck...oh and not to mention Bogies! Everyone really enjoyed watching it because we were having so much fun making it.

Where did you buy your lovely shorts?

DICK: Wouldn't say they were that lovely! They were from Sainsbury's, who are one of the biggest fundraisers for Sport Relief!

DOM: Ha ha ha! Jazzy aren't they!!!  Although, having looked at those photos though, we might do well to buy some that come down lower to hide our knobbly knees and chicken legs!

4. Bebo2000 (Age 9)
How did you become presenters and actors?

DOM:  When we were your age, that bloke who presents Dancing on Ice (Philip Schofield) used to be a CBBC presenter doing the same job as Ian and Hacker. We both knew that that was exactly what we wanted to do as a job. Chris Evans was also a massive influence. We then both set to work recording little tester tapes and interviews and sending the chunky video cassette tapes to TV bosses all over the UK... Competition was tough but we were persistent and after years of slogging it out...cracked it, by landing a job at CBBC. This is where we bumped into each other and started working together! The rest is...history!

5. FuturePM (Age 16)
What do you both do now? Are you doing any more children's TV soon?

DICK: We have series 2 of the legend of Dick and Dom on the television every Wednesday at 5.15pm on CBBC channel and every Sunday morning on BBC 2. We are going to be doing a new live TV show next year working with BBC comedy so you'll se lots of great comedians on TV every Saturday morning.

DOM:  Another series of Legend of Dick and Dom is on the cards, which will go out next year 2011, and we're also going to return to Saturday mornings on BBC2 in January 2011. Going to be a very funny show too. I know it all seems a long way off but TV takes a very, very long time to make. If you rush things.... disasters can happen and we don't want to disappoint you now do we!!! We're also talking to the BBC about making 'legend of Dick and Dom' into a movie. Who would have thought...him and me.... movie stars? Got our Oscar speech all sorted out already!

6. gibson1066 (Age 11)
Dick and Dom in da Bungalow was ace why did u stop?

DICK: We had a creamy muck muck leak in the basement and it exploded!

7. Mirri04 (Age 10)
What made you want to star in children’s television? Has it always been your ambition? Or did you have a different choice of ambition (at first)?

DICK: Always wanted to do it! Since the age of 12 I used to watch children’s TV and loved it.

DOM: Well, as I was the youngest member of the magic circle and young magician of the year...I suppose that I really wanted to be a magician on TV, but ended up by teaming up with young Dick instead! More fun...

8. Madhatter (Age 9)
what's ur favourite colour

DICK:  Blue

DOM:  Purple

9. wizard8 (Age 8)
Your Shows are really funny, how do you exactly do that?

DICK: Just be funny! We also have a very good producer - Steve Ryde, he is a funny man and comes up with a lot of the ideas

DOM: We're just naturally gifted in the art of all things funny...oh, and we also have some amazing script writers, producers, fellow cast members to makes us look funnier!

10. Maverick (Age 8)

You are doing lots of sports for charity so was it hard to get fit?

DICK: Takes time but you get there eventually, just start off doing something like running, every other day at first and after about 4 weeks you can run 10k!

DOM: Training for the Sport Relief 6 miles wasn't that difficult but training for the London Marathon really is difficult. Think how long it takes you to walk to school...then imagine running it...then times it by 40! Exhausting eh?

11. Jujubean (Age 9)
Are U smarter then a 10 year old?

DICK: No!

DOM: Well, if we had to be contestants on the show...we certainly wouldn't be, but as we had all of the answers told to us in our earpieces...then let's just say, 'yes'.

12. Char (Age 8)

Are you freinds with any other celebritys?

DICK: I know Dom, and Dom knows me!

DOM: No, not really. We only really know each other. Some celebs have tonnes of celeby mates, but we just have all of our pals that we grew up with. They keep us sane...ish!

13. Flowerpot (Age 13)
do you still play bogeys? I saw some boys on the bus playing bogeys, and it was funny

DICK: Yes, if we are asked to.... I’ll give you a game now...BOGEYS!! I win.

DOM: It’s a very funny game but we don't really play it any more. Maybe one day we'll take on the boss of First News Piers Morgan? Good idea?
