The Reason 4, four born and bred Southampton lads, have been friends for more than 10 years.

All four worked as tradesmen before appearing on series 7 of The X Factor. In their first audition, they astounded the judge's with their rendition of Cheryl Cole's "Fight For This Love", after which X Factor guru Simon Cowell labelled them as "one of my favourite groups this year".

The boys are currently writing and recording their debut album with Eliot Kennedy (who has worked with big stars such as Take That, Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, Boyzone, Blue and many others) and Andrew Murray ( who has worked with Christina Aguilera, Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis, Alicia Keys and more).

The Reason 4 came into the First News offices today to tell us about their new single Take It All, out August 7.
