X Factor auto-tune scandal
X Factor bosses have admitted using auto-tune technology. Do you think that this is right?
X Factor hit our screen with a record 1.1million viewers tuning in. However, many people complained that it sounded like the voices had been auto-tuned.
Auto-tune is a digital way to automatically make your voice sound better and make you sing in tune.
X Factor bosses admitted using auto-tune but said they only did it after the acts had performed to the judges – so that it sounded better for the viewers.
A spokesman said: “The judges make their decisions at the audition stage based on what they hear on the day, live in the arena.
“The footage and sound is then edited and dubbed into a finished programme, to deliver the most entertaining experience possible for viewers.”

She was really good! She must have been good anyway, because look at the crowd!

The use of autotune on a wide number of vocal artists is destroying the reputation of the music industry. The use of electronics to modify the sound of singers' voices results in the latest load of manufactured 'pop stars'. The requirement of good vocal skills is lost. This does not apply to all artists but many chart toppers are artificially ,modidied and it is sad thart the x- factor has resorted to this and become a less genuine show.

I totally disagree with auto tune , at the end of the day its a talent competition so we sould hear the singer's true voice
