Would YOU like to write for First News?
Do you, or maybe someone you know like a brother or sister, suffer from a learning challenge like dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia etc? If so, we want to hear your story.
First News wants to give readers with learning challenges the chance to tell their story and appear in the newspaper along with a photo.
Some of you may be aware that First News is running a campaign called My Way! which helps people to understand what it’s like to live with different learning challenges, and draws attention to the fact that everybody learns at their own pace.
One of the most important My Way! messages is that learning in a different way to other people has nothing to do with how smart you are and it doesn’t mean that you won’t be fantastically successful in whatever you choose to do.
So if you have any learning challenges – including things like dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, difficulties with speech, hearing or seeing and you would like to tell us about your experiences then write to us at newsdesk@firstnews.co.uk for a chance to appear in the paper.
We are looking for stories by readers with learning challenges, brothers and sisters of children with learning challenges and the parents and carers of children with learning challenges.
If you would like ideas on what to include in your story, click this link to see some published My Way! pieces.
