Wolves can read human eye signals, scientists have found…

Wolves know to follow a human’s gaze to find hidden objects, says new research by scientists at the University of Vienna.

They discovered wolves would move around an obstacle if it was in another wolf’s or human’s line of sight to investigate.

Following the gaze of another creature can be really important for animals in the wild as it can tell an animal where prey is or the direction of a threat. But figuring out that there might be something hidden behind what another animal is staring at is a thought process only seen in a few animals such as chimps and ravens.
