Wizarding World Of Harry Potter

Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens!

A few weeks ago we brought you the news that Harry Potter movie stars had enjoyed a sneak preview of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, and now we can tell you the park is open to everyone!

A queue of 5,000 people were reported to have waited outside the gates for the park to open in Florida, USA. But it was worth the wait. Visitors got to ride on the Hogwarts Express and wander around Hogsmeade, the first time Muggles have been allowed into the magical world. The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry cost around £169 million to build and is home to a really exciting ride called ‘Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey’. This ride takes you on a trip through Harry’s life, bringing you face to face with Dementors, dragons and spiders.

Daniel Radcliffe was certainly impressed by the attractions. He said: “What Universal Orlando has done with Harry Potter is really, really fantastic. Just to walk around the place is amazing, there’s never a moment where the illusion dissipates.”

The Wizarding World is part of Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park.
