Thousands of loyal tennis fans camped out over the rainy weekend in preparation for gates opening today. 

Highlights of the day include defending champion Rafael Nadal facing Michael Russell on centre court, and Venus Williams facing Akgul Amanmuradova on court two. 

But of course, many Britons will be looking forward to Andy Murray facing world number 56 Daniel Gimeno-Traver, on centre court later today. 

There are high hopes for Britain's Andy Murray this year, after his recent string of successes at various tennis tournaments, including the Grand Slam, the French Open and most notably his recent victory at Queen's, where he won the Queen's title.
