Who cares more about the environment? Kids or adults?

Children as young as ten are taking more interest in protecting the environment than adults, according to new research.

Almost 90% of ten to 12-year-olds make sure that they protect the environment on a daily basis.

This ranges from actions like turning lights off to cycling to school.

However, the older generation don’t appear to be as environmentally friendly. The research showed that only 65% of 18 to 34-year-olds worry about the environment.

The study of more than 1,000 young people also revealed that nearly two thirds of young people thought that their parents and grandparents had lifestyles that were bad for the environment.

However, they also said this was probably because the older generations weren’t taught about the environment in school, as most pupils are now.
