Where is Happy Feet the penguin?

Scientists are trying to trakc the progress of Happy feet, the lost penguin, after his tracking device stopped sending signals

Here at First News, we’ve been following closely the story of Happy Feet, the emperor penguin who became an international celebrity after losing his way and ending up on a beach in New Zealand.

After nursing him back to health, scientists fitted him with a tracker so that his progress back home could be followed, but earlier this week it stopped sending signals.

Some people presumed that he had been eaten by a predator, but the firm who fitted the device said it was unlikely because of the area that Happy Feet was in.

There is a possibility that it simply fell off the penguin and it’s at the bottom of the ocean or that it has stopped working, and Happy Feet is still making his way home.
