I have a couple of questions. 1. Is there anymore help you need from us because I have a green council in school so I could mention any ideas? 2. Do you know that you are set for global warming and is a plan ready yet? 3. If we have a big freeze again this time next year in the north west (near where I live) how will the council deal with it to be able to collect our refuse?

What is going to be your main environmental focus this year?
sharkster (Age 13) wrote on Wednesday, 10 August 2011 @ 21:37
I think you should team up with nature charities like the RSPB, National Trust and Wildlife Trust to advertise the vital importance of recycling and the lack of fossil fuels and that soon they will run out. You should also debate in the House of Commons new compulsory laws for everyone to make in order to lower the UK's carbon footprint. Like the maximum weight of rubbish allowed to be taken away from a workplace in comparison to the recycled waste. This would make people think about what they put in the rubbish bin or the recycling bin. Especially if they get fined large sums of money if the weight goes over the limit. This money can be spent on research for new ways to be more enviromentally friendly.
sharkster (Age 13) wrote on Wednesday, 10 August 2011 @ 21:46
My actual question is Will you be making laws about or changing how much waste can be sent away from workplaces and homes or will the staggeringly high amounts of waste put in land fills a year in the uk continue to be high, despite people being able to recycle a lot of it?
sharkster (Age 13) wrote on Wednesday, 10 August 2011 @ 21:49
when will you be doing this again?
GirlAbroad (Age 11) wrote on Thursday, 11 August 2011 @ 17:02
