What is this?!
A strange new baby has been born at Philadelphia Zoo. But what is it?
It's an aye-aye! The baby aye-aye, named Smeagol after his resemblance to the Lord of the Rings character, was born at Philadelphia Zoo on July 14 but is now big enough to explore his enclosure with mum Medusa and dad Tolkein.
Aye-ayes are rare lemurs that can be found hanging from the trees in the rainforests of Madagascar.
Protection laws have been put into place, but aye-ayes are still hunted in Madagascar because people think that they are bad luck because of their strange looks.
