Yr 4's tomb
Yr 4's tomb

We've been writing newspaper articles about our terrific tomb!

Our class, 4 Ash, has been writing newspaper articles about a Tomb Experience which was offered in one of our classrooms.

First, we got introduced to Mrs Spurgeon, one of the top explorers.

We felt a little scared when we saw how dark it was, but then we saw the torches.

After that, we crawled into the entrance of the tomb. When we were in the middle of the tomb, we started seeing snakes and scarab beetles.

“It was so dark I couldn’t see a thing,” said Finlay White, one of the explorers.

Finally, we arrived in the main chamber, where there was loads of treasure and artefacts.

The most fascinating artefact was the Egyptian death mask. The Egyptian death mask played a very important role in ancient Egyptian society.

The Egyptians were extremely religious people and had extremely elaborate burial rituals as well as complex beliefs about life after death.

We all had a great time in the tomb and learned lots. I’m looking forward to learning even more about the Egyptians.
