We went to fish camp visited Rick Stein’s Seafood School
In Augus eight lucky school children were taken on a fishy adventure around the coast of Cornwall.
The fish camp kids went snorkelling, rockpooling, found out about life on a fishing boat and cooked at Rick Stein’s Seafood School. “I saw the most beautiful creatures that I’ve ever seen in the water! I discovered a pregnant spider crab and a white scallop shell in one piece, which had little worms stuck hard on the shell” said Jai Boucher from Heber School in South London
Marine Biologist The Blowfish went on the trip with them, and now you can share his knowledge too as he’s going to be blogging about all things sealife in the brand new School of Fish blog.
Their adventures also helped inspire Catch of the Day; a great new game which you can play online now! As well as all this, junior journalist Callum Youle from Sheffield will be launching a series of new ‘codcasts’ where he’ll meet experts and discuss a range of fishy topics in our special audio reports.
To view the blog, play the game, listen to the codcasts and see the Fish Camp films, register at www.nationalschoolspartnership.com/schooloffish.php
