We went to a special tea party with Angelina Ballerina and English National Ballet
This summer, the TV character Angelina Ballerina is being given the 3D treatment for the very first time.
To celebrate Sky invited us, along with other budding ballerinas, to a special tea party with Angelina and English National Ballet, who are sponsored by Sky Arts.
We were the first to watch an Angelina Ballerina 3D performance created exclusively for Sky 3D. The short film is set in Angelina’s dance school, and sees Angelina and her friends perform dances including a ‘hip hop’ ballet! You can watch the 3D film on Sky 3D from today and join in the class at home.
Then we took part in a 3D ballet master class choreographed by the country’s top professional dancers from English National Ballet.
We also got to meet Emma Findlay from the English National Ballet. She told us that she started ballet when she was 12-years-old and was invited to join the English National Ballet company when they saw her in another production.
She went to Harlow ballet school but didn’t take anyexams because the school preferred performance.
Her favourite ballet to dance is The Snow Queen and she sometimes gets nervous before going on stage.
