We held a fair to raise money for our link school in Malawi
To raise money for our link school in Malawi, we held an exciting fair. The fair was held to help Ngolowindo School in Malawi so that people can grow crops, because the children cannot afford to eat breakfast.
Parish School has already paid for the land to do the maize planting. Thanks to the link with the charity ‘Starfish Malawi’ they have been supporting Ngolowindo for a few years.
We organised all the stalls ourselves, and we included biscuit decoration, face painting and second-hand books. Overall, an amazing £1,600 was raised, including £250 from one stall alone – not surprisingly, it was a chocolate stall!
This was a great way for us at Parish School to help those who don’t have anywhere near as much as us.
The head teacher of Ngolowindo, who was with us during the week was very happy about the results.
