We have been making a book for younger children
Over the last year we have been making a book for younger children. The book is based in Moredun, where we live, and is about a boy called Liam Dunmore who meets an alien called Astrid. Our book aims to teach children aged four to seven years old about healthy living.
We have been involved in all aspects of the project. We wrote the story, selected the illustrator, created the marketing materials and helped the publisher.
We were very lucky to have the Children’s Coordinator from the Edinburgh International Book Festival come in to class to hear about our book.
We pitched our book to her and she thought it was fantastic. She booked us to appear at the festival in August, and it was amazing sharing our book with the public.
We launched our book on Friday 17 June at the City Chambers in Edinburgh.
It is available to buy in school, on Amazon and in Blackwells Book Store in Edinburgh.
We have loved becoming published authors and have learnt so much.
Lots of us would now like to become authors or publishers when we grow up.
We hope you enjoy reading it!
