What a day for LEGO® fans! Lucasarts held an event for a lucky few, to get a sneak preview of the new LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars game, but we would also get the chance to build a LEGO Clone Trooper, designed specially for the occasion.

When we arrived, there was a room with Xboxes to play the new LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars game on, a big table laid out with bags of LEGO and instructions to build our very own LEGO Clone Trooper and another table with piles of cakes! Duncan Titmarsh, the Lego master builder, had put together the Clone Trooper design and, best of all, we got to keep it once we had finished. The only problem was to decide what to do first – play the game or start building?

After making the legs, I decided to try the new game. I’ve got the other Star Wars Lego games at home and I am a big fan, but the new one is even better. What is really cool is when it splits the screen when two players move away from each other and that you can select different levels from any point in the game. I would have played for ages, but I was really keen to finish the model. Luckily, Dad had carried on building while I had been playing the game.

I’m definitely buying the new game when it comes out and, in the meantime, I’ve got the Clone Trooper to remind me what a great trip it was.
