Wayne Rooney helps Manchester United with the Carling Cup with his nifty headers.

Wayne Rooney carried on his recent knack of scoring with headers to win the Carling Cup for Manchester United.

United beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the Wembley final, thanks to goals from Michael Owen and Rooney. Villa boss Martin O’Neill was furious that United still had 11 men on the pitch.


United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that Nemanja Vidic was lucky not to be sent off at the start of the game, when he brought down Aston Villa’s Gabriel Agbonlahor.


Eight of Rooney’s last ten goals have been scored with his head. Before this season, he had scored just four headers in 316 club games!

    I agree with cam4000 because Man United won the premier league cup NOT Chelsea!!!!! Manchester United won 19 times and Chelsea ONLY 4.
