UK fighters win gold at Taekwondo championships in Russia
Two British fighters have won gold medals at the European Senior Taekwondo Championships in Russia.
Olympic bronze medallist Sarah Stevenson has dropped down a weight category since Beijing. That decision paid off this week, as she beat Turkey’s Nur Tatar to win the under 67kg title.
The young star Aaron Cook is one of Britain’s brightest hopes for the 2012 Olympics, and he also added European gold to his trophy cabinet. He beat Greece’s Nikolaos Tzellos in the under 80kg final to take the title.
