A sedated tiger cub was found hidden in a suitcase filled with cuddly toys at an airport in Thailand

A sleepy and tranquilised tiger cub (like the one pictured) was found hidden in a suitcase at an airport in Thailand.

A 31-year-old Thai woman had checked in a suitcase full of cuddly toys ona  flight from iran.

When the suitcase went through the Xray machine the airport officials could see the skeleton of the cub!

Wildlife officers from the Livestock Development Department and the National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department were called, who then opened the bag and rescued the cub.

The tiger cub is being cared for at the Rescue Centre of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation.

Officials have taken samples of the tiger cubs DNA to see if it is a wild or a captive-bred tiger.
