Today is the last chance to apply for London 2012 tickets

Today is the last chance to apply for tickets to the London 2012 Olympic games.

People are being encouraged to apply for their tickets to the London 2012 Olympic games if they haven't already, as they only have until 11:59pm tonight to apply for the 6.6 million tickets on the London 2012 website.

Organisers have announced that applications for London 2012 Olympics tickets have "hit the roof" over the last few weeks. 

Applications will be sorted throughout May and June and those accepted will be informed by 24 June.

People have been applying for tickets to the London 2012 Olympics since 15 March, when they officially went on sale.
