Tiger on roof turns out to be massive stuffed toy

People in Houston, Texas, feared for the lives when they saw an escaped tiger on the roof of a hotel. 

After police were called, at least six firefighters set off to rescue the animal and make sure no one from the public was hurt.

The team approached the tiger using a cherry picker, but as they got nearer they realised the scary animal was actually a soft toy!

As one firefighter knocked it to the ground, another confirmed that it was no longer a danger. 

Houston Fire Department Captain Ruy Lozano told CultureMap: 'We never really cover this part of Houston but received the most calls and attention because of this tiger.' 

It is still unknown how the soft toy ended up on the hotel roof, but it was certainly a grrreat discovery!
