Thousands missing in Brazil floods
Thousands of people are missing in Brazil floods.
Heavy rain has caused flooding to devastate villages in Brazil.
Tens of thousands have had to abandon their homes for higher ground and at least 1,000 people are missing. As First News went to press, around 40 people were known to have died but this number is expected to rise dramatically.
Some villages have been completely swept away. The army and navy are helping with rescue efforts and people are being helicoptered to safety.
