  • Henry (Age 11) wrote on Monday, 21 December 2009 @ 12:47

The bullyer should be in prison for 5 years

  • Twink (Age 15) wrote on Monday, 21 December 2009 @ 17:08

I've been bullied before and if there had been a bigger punishment, they wouldn't have even thought of being mean to me.

  • kairocks (Age 14) wrote on Friday, 25 December 2009 @ 21:22

people get sad when they get bullied and some try to end there lives. bullies should be punished more because they make kids who want to learn in school suffer and that is wrong

  • jellybaby (Age 13) wrote on Wednesday, 30 December 2009 @ 12:13

I think that bullying should be recognised as a crime so yes, however it should have different levels of punishment for how serious the bullying was.

  • koolkatkk (Age 13) wrote on Thursday, 31 December 2009 @ 14:05

I think thatit should be.Ive been bullied a few times, when i was in year three aboy, who was in year 5, was bullying me and made me agreee not to tell any one but one dayhe blocked my way to class but eventually i got through and knew i had to tell.ive also been bullied by my ex-boyfriend and some off the things hes done have been taken to the police.

  • Chazzer (Age 13) wrote on Tuesday, 12 January 2010 @ 17:38

I think that bulling does not have to be classes as a criminal offence because i have been on the receiving end of it and now that it can be sorted out:)BUT if the person does not stop and takes the matter any were near (out of school)then it should not be delt with by the school but by the govermont.

I think bullying is bad but jail is a bit over the top maybe send them to a place for a few days and teach them about bullying?

  • defleppard (Age 13) wrote on Saturday, 28 August 2010 @ 08:07

yeh it should be and you should get about half a year in jail for it. however, i don't like labour party or ed balls and his name is quite wierd.

  • laurcool (Age 11) wrote on Saturday, 16 October 2010 @ 14:22

I think a bully should just be reported to the council but not put in jail. Some bullies are actually nice...just not to certain people. That is just my opinion.

  • PeaceLove (Age 12) wrote on Sunday, 24 October 2010 @ 15:27

    yes

  • Outofthewo (Age 10) wrote on Sunday, 24 October 2010 @ 17:19

I don't think a crime exactly, more of just something that should be punished. Remember, we are all only kids, even the bullies (Unless it is an aduls, where they might just be put in prison). I have been bullied many times in the past, and I was scared of hitting back because I would be shouted at (If nor raised-voiced at) and for some reacon, when I hear a loud noise and it's fairly close, I automaticly start crying.I'm either too sensitive or too weird :S

  • hannii (Age 11) wrote on Tuesday, 2 November 2010 @ 17:27

Yes it should . Iv'e been through 3 sets of bullies, all of which were horrid to me. I think no one should go through the things I did.

  • bobbobdude (Age 15) wrote on Saturday, 6 November 2010 @ 14:35

i think it should be taken more seriously but not taken as a crime.

  • 09AhmedA (Age 13) wrote on Sunday, 7 November 2010 @ 13:41

  • lozzylion (Age 10) wrote on Monday, 15 November 2010 @ 19:33

I think it should be a crime because it is horrible and no one likes being bullied.

  • SummerLove (Age 14) wrote on Tuesday, 16 November 2010 @ 16:15

I don't think it should be a crime, as everyone is guilty of bullying. They say that bullies have been bullied themselves, so wouldn't it just go round in a huge loop?

  • tcurry (Age 10) wrote on Wednesday, 17 November 2010 @ 18:14

it should way be a crime

  • lilly12345 (Age 10) wrote on Saturday, 20 November 2010 @ 16:41

that is a good q but i dont know probley

  • lilly12345 (Age 10) wrote on Saturday, 20 November 2010 @ 16:42

    i agree with bobbobdude atually

  • Anya2000 (Age 11) wrote on Monday, 6 December 2010 @ 17:15

It should be treated as a crime, however, not a serious one. You should fine the bully say 75£ every time they are reported to have bullied someone, and you will pay more if the bullyingis more serious. They should have a trial, as summerlove said above, some bullies have been bullied themselves, in this case you don't fine but try to help them.

  • Pavan (Age 9) wrote on Wednesday, 22 December 2010 @ 01:41

    Bad bad i hate bullying!

  • Hajra444 (Age 8) wrote on Tuesday, 4 January 2011 @ 20:18

I have been bullied from now on whoever bullies someone must go to jail no matter what age they are and I would ask Nic to let the police read this comment and Anya2000's

  • Alpaca (Age 12) wrote on Wednesday, 5 January 2011 @ 20:40

I have been bullied several times, and although it is not a nice experience, bullies should not go to jail but should be punished more severely, be when I was bullied the bully only got told off!

  • cam4000 (Age 7) wrote on Monday, 10 January 2011 @ 16:31

    I agree with Alpaca

  • falcon123 (Age 11) wrote on Saturday, 29 January 2011 @ 11:55

Bullying should be made a crime, but not a prison sentence, a fine.

  • Twinkles (Age 11) wrote on Wednesday, 9 March 2011 @ 07:56

No way! its totally unfair on the bully because they might just want to find friends.some of them are too young to go anywhere like prison.

  • carter315 (Age 13) wrote on Monday, 21 March 2011 @ 16:49

They shouldn't be put in prison but should be given classes on how to behave. It may not be their fault as they may have been bullied themselves.

IVE BEEN BULLIED AND ITS HORRID

  • smileybear (Age 12) wrote on Wednesday, 13 April 2011 @ 08:40

I think that it should be a crime because i was bullied at my primary school and i think it is a criminal offence. Also i think that it should not be a jail sentence unless it is serious bullying and i think that bullying should not be tollarated. I agree that bullying should be made a crime.

  • redhorse10 (Age 13) wrote on Thursday, 21 April 2011 @ 11:42

I think that it really depends how serious the bullying is. For example, if the bullying is so bad that it makes the victim want to end their life then that would be a cause for concern. If it was just mild name calling then no, because that's something everyone has to put up with. I haven't been bullied, but I know it's horrible. Overall, I agree with Smileybear;it really does depend how far the bully is going. :)

  • samz (Age 12) wrote on Saturday, 23 April 2011 @ 18:40

it depends weither it is really bullying or just one pick on it depends weither it's phiscil or just names or cyber bullying it depends weither it's a indiviul or a group of victim's it depends weither it's a indiviul or a group of bully's

  • RedCar96 (Age 12) wrote on Thursday, 5 May 2011 @ 09:25

It depends how serious the bullying is. If it has got serious, it could be charged as an offence.

  • hulkhogan (Age 10) wrote on Friday, 6 May 2011 @ 16:51

    cool

  • Dollyhi (Age 13) wrote on Thursday, 12 May 2011 @ 15:10

YES It should be made a crime because some of my friends have been bullied and they called the police

  • cam4000 (Age 7) wrote on Sunday, 29 May 2011 @ 18:02

IF YOU BULLED A CERTAIN NUMBER OF TIMES THE BULLY SHOULD GO TO JAIL.ONLY IF THE BULLY IS 16 OR OVER.

  • looby99 (Age 12) wrote on Thursday, 9 June 2011 @ 19:19

yes it should be a crime

  • IndigoWolf (Age 11) wrote on Friday, 22 July 2011 @ 15:43

It should be a crime: Bullying can make children not want to go to school and they need school for their education! I get bulled on my way back from school - so I never want to go to school!

  • Crystal- (Age 13) wrote on Thursday, 11 August 2011 @ 17:18

    yup it should

  • 77Dragon (Age 9) wrote on Sunday, 4 September 2011 @ 16:30

Obviously it should be, but people only tell when THEY get bullied.

  • redhorse10 (Age 13) wrote on Monday, 5 September 2011 @ 20:27

    That's true 77Dragon. :)

  • Toastie (Age 11) wrote on Sunday, 18 September 2011 @ 19:35

I think they should have 2 chances, have 2 days community service but it should not be a crime, the police have better things to do then go arrest some person who called someone stupid

  • Toastie (Age 11) wrote on Sunday, 18 September 2011 @ 19:36

but if they are beating someone up as a form of bullying then... Y-E-S

  • spicegal16 (Age 12) wrote on Monday, 17 October 2011 @ 15:36

I agree with aishy There is nothing more to say...

  • kittylover (Age 14) wrote on Saturday, 22 October 2011 @ 13:18

if serious harm is caused like that woman who killed herself and disabled daughter after lots of taunting they should get longer than say, a ten year old bullying another child in their class

  • badger11 (Age 11) wrote on Monday, 31 October 2011 @ 20:19

yes it is a bit like stealing if every one did it the world would be a disaster and if they did get more serious punishments that might make them stop bullyings other people

  • BlueBell09 (Age 10) wrote on Saturday, 5 November 2011 @ 13:02

    yes

  • vivk1 (Age 11) wrote on Thursday, 10 November 2011 @ 17:42

I definitely think bullying should be taken more seriously. I was bullied in year 5 and the girl that did it made me end up in tears a lot. But I learnt to stand up to her. I think bullying should be considered bad enough to take her/him to a special place to be taught a lesson.

  • Prunnie (Age 10) wrote on Saturday, 17 December 2011 @ 11:55

Yeah, I think it should be a crime, because it could effect somebody all their lives!!!!!!!!! :D
