The News Crew go to Brownie camp

If you go to Brownies, I’m sure that you will love Brownie pack holidays.

By Jessica Ebner-Statt

This year I joined Brownies and I decided to go on camp holiday. It was all very exciting. Brownie camp holiday is a completely new experience and you do loads of different activities. When I was on holiday I played in the woods, made pizzas, made wooden animals and we even did a sack race!

Brownie pack holiday may sound a little bad because you leave your parents, but I had so much fun that I forgot about them completely!

During Brownie pack holiday you get to do lots of things that children don’t usually get to do such as cooking, eating outside and exploring the woods without a grown-up’s supervision. Our pack was so lucky that we got to sing songs around a campfire! Pack holiday has something for everyone.

My favourite bits of Brownie pack holiday were exploring the woods, singing around the campfire and making the pizza dough. That was such fun.

The people who I was probably closest to in pack holiday were Hannah and Rosalind. I think that was because Rosalind is my sixer and because Hannah is my age and we are both new Brownies. Overall, I think that pack holiday is really fun and I recommend it to girls aged seven to ten. If you already are a Brownie, then beg your parents to let you go to pack holiday when there is one.
