The News Crew on't let hay fever ruin their summer

HAY fever can get very annoying. You’re constantly sneezing and having itchy eyes. Here are my tips on dealing with it!

Keep a pack of tissues with you at all times. Remember to catch it, bin it and kill it by washing your hands.

In the early spring you must stay away from these trees as they are the ones most likely to make you sneeze: silver birch, ash, oak and London plane.

Grass can be a root cause of hay fever, as well as trees, flowers or anything like that. Different types of grass can give you a rash if you lie on it without anything underneath you. These grasses are: Timothy, rye, cocksfoot, meadow and fescue, however some of these grasses can make you sneeze or make your eyes itchy in mid-summer.

Sometimes weeds such as nettles and dock, as well as mugwort and plantain, can trigger hay fever. This happens in late summer to autumn.

People who get hay fever usually come from families with hay fever and symptoms often start when people become teenagers. The worst symptoms occur when people are in their 20s.

The useful treatments for hay fever are things like antihistamine and nasal spray which is taken to relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy throat, watery eyes!
