The First News News Crew makes comics with Marvel comic artist Neil Edwards
I was lucky enough to be invited by First News to meet Marvel comic artist Neil Edwards. I met him in a really cool comic shop, Orbital Comics, in London.
While I was waiting for Neil to arrive I got to play the new Marvel game Ultimate Alliance 2, which is all about Marvel characters. I would definitely recommend it.
When Neil arrived he taught me how the professionals draw their super heroes. He said it takes him six hours to draw one page of a comic book. He has drawn lots of comic book heroes like Spider-Man and The Hulk. He also told me The Hulk was grey when he first came out.
Then he got me to draw my own comic book hero. It was quite hard to draw like him. It took ages to complete my picture which wasn’t the best drawing in the world! Then I explained my character to Neil and he drew it for me in five minutes. It was amazing!
It was a great experience and, to top it off, I was given a copy of The Ultimate Alliance 2 game that hadn’t even been released yet. What a fantastic day!
