The biggest crab ever seen in Britain has been brought to the National Sea Life Centre
The Japanese Spider crab, the biggest ever seen in Britain, has arrived at Birmingham’s National Sea Life Centre.
The Japanese Spider Crab, nickname Crabzilla, has a claw span of two metres and was flown in to the UK from Japan, while on route to Belgium.
After being quarantined in Dorset Sea Life marine experts agreed that UK animal lovers deserved the chance to see the colossal crustacean so he’ll stay in Birmingham until the end of March.
Japanese Spider Crabs are rumoured to grow up to four metres.
