Sprinter Bolt is beaten
Usain Bolt has lost a 100m race for the first time in two years.
Bolt came second in the race at the Diamond League meeting in Stockholm, Sweden. Although he finished in 9.97secs, Tyson Gay ran the distance in 9.84secs.
Bolt’s last defeat was on the same track two years ago, when his fellow Jamaican Asafa Powell beat him.
“It feels great to beat Usain,” said Gay, “but deep down inside I know he is not 100% fit. I look forward to beating him when he is 100%.”
