Skier miraculously survives after being buried by an avalanche in Switzerland
A 21-year-old man has survived after being buried alive by an avalanche for 17 hours.
The skier was swept away by a 50-metre wide snowslide in the Evoléne region of the Alps. He was kept alive by an air pocket that enabled him to keep breathing while buried beneath 50cm of snow.
