Should pregnant pandas be set free?

Pregnant pandas could be set free in a wild to boost wild numbers. What do you think?

Researchers in China are planning to send pregnant pandas bred in captivity to live in the semi-wilderness in the hope they’ll be able to release the cubs into the wild one day.

It’s planned that one or two pregnant pandas will be released into a fenced-off semi-wild area of the Wolong Panda Reserve in Sichuan.

Then, after about two years, once the cubs have learnt to forage for food and survive in the wild, they will be ready to be released into the mountain forest outside of the enclosed area. There are only about 1,950 pandas living wild in China, with at least 180 being bred in captivity.
