Shevington Primary in Wigan present

When we were asked: “How can we improve our local area?”, we came up with some great ideas. They were so good that representatives from Wigan Council came to hear them.

We all came up with business ideas and prepared a presentation in a Dragon’s Den style.

The ideas included things like ‘Chuckle Wuckle’, a play area for disabled kids and Sunshine Farm, an eco farm. We presented our ideas using Power Point on the school smart-board and designed a logo for the business. Finally, we decided to dress smart for the councillors.

They thought the ideas were brilliant and said we had great imaginations. They are even going to feedback our ideas in an official meeting! Councillors may sound tough, but they have a soft spot for kids.
