School responds to First News’ call to raise funds for Haiti earthquake victims.
Boys from 7PH ditched their uniforms for a mufti day to help raise money for Haiti. By 7PH from Thorpe House, Buckinghamshire
After the news informed us about the devastation, the homelessness and the suffering in Haiti, we knew it was important to help raise as much money as we could to help.
A mufti day was a good way to achieve this and the disaster inspired us all to donate to this worthy cause. Everybody had to bring in a contribution of £1 or more, because every little helps, but we were amazed to raise £2,368.11.
It does not matter if the money is used for food, water, shelter, rebuilding the country or just a toy box for the children – what is important is that we helped other people in need and that it meant a lot to us to do that.
