School pupils given hair dye colour charts
Pupils at a school in Essex have been given a colour chart to show them which colours they can dye their hair
The pupils at Harwich and Dovercourt High School, Essex were given the colour charts after pupils were suspended after dying their hair 'unnatural' colours.
Pupils had complained it was hard to tell which shades of colour would be punished. For example, pupils were allowed to dye their hair the same shade of red as Nicole Kidman, but not bright red like Rihanna.
What do you think about this? Should pupils be allowed to dye their hair bright colours? Is it up to parents or kids?

I think if they are going to dye their hair a sensible colour like brown or blonde etc. it should be up to the kids, but if you are going to dye your hair a bright colour like blue or red the it should be up to parents/guardians and teachers.

it's there own hair, if they dye it a silly colour then they have to walk around with it on there head (as long as they don't take time of school from embarresment )

I agree that some colours are inappropriate for school but I think that the school should be able to say whether or not they think a colour is inappropriate although I dont think they should be allowed to tell pupils off for having traces of a certain colour hair dye in their hair as they might not of been able to completely wash it out but might have tried
