San Francisco wants dogs walkers to get a licence
Professional dog walkers in San Francisco, US, have been told that they will have to be trained and get a licence before they can walk other people's dogs for money.
If the legislation is passed professional dog walkers will have to apply for a permit that would restrict them from walking more than seven dogs at once.
They would also need to go to a twenty-four hour training course or do a forty hour internship with another licensed dog walker before they are allowed to walk other people's dogs.
Their cars would be inspected by the San Francisco Animal Care and Control Department before they are allowed to drive any dogs anywhere.
These rules would only apply to people who get paid to walk other people's dogs.
What do you think about this? Should professional dog walkers be forced to get licences?
