Rebecca Black takes 'Friday' down from YouTube
Rebecca Black's Friday has been taken down from YouTube after a copyright battle between ms. Black and the song's producers
Rebecca Black's debut internet hit Friday has been taken down from YouTube after a dispute with the song's producers.
Teenager Rebecca Black became an overnight star after her song Friday, dubbed 'the worst song ever,' went viral on the internet, gaining over 160 million views on YouTube.
Now instead of listening to the catchy tune, you'll find a message saying "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Rebecca Black. Sorry about that."
Rebecca Black's parents paid LA record label Ark Music Factory $2,000 to create and produce the music video for Friday.
However, following her surprise success, Ark Music Factory started to charge $2.99 (£1.85) to watch the video, prompting Rebecca Black to tweet: "Thanks for all the messages regarding the $2.99 fee added to Friday video, I have NOTHING to do with this!!
"PS...My Manager and Lawyer are on this and are going to get to the bottom of this! Stay tuned..."
Rebecca Black's lawyers are said to have accused Ark Music Factory of copyright infringement and unlawful exploitation of her publicity rights.
However, that's not the last you'll see of Rebecca Black - she recently had a starring role in Katy Perry's music video for Last Friday Night (TGIF).

I didn't really like her song but for a 13 year old that was really good.

She can't even sing! It doesn't matter how old you are - if you can't sing, you can't sing. Being young has nothing to do with it.

Thank goodness for that, I don't mind Rebecca Black. But the song was absolutely terrible. Like I said, Thank goodness!!

She's not the most amazing singer but NO WAY(!) did she deserve all the nasty things said about her!
