Quakers adventure for two Germans and their ducks
Two Germans are setting out on an unusual adventure – the pair are going to swim 300 miles with their seven pet ducks.
Pia Witt and Wilfried Arnold plan to swim down a river from central Germany and hope to reach the North sea by mid-September.
The daring duo will swim between 15 and 25 miles a day but their runner ducks will only join them for 20 minute stints. The birds will follow behind in a boat or car when they get too tired.
