Pupils offered anger management classes at struggling school

Hillcrest Primary School in Leeds has had to offer anger management classes for pupils.

The news comes after the school excluded 40 children in just one year for bad behaviour. Some of those were as young as five.

Ofsted inspectors called the school’s conduct ‘unacceptable’ and Leeds City Council has since asked psychologists and mental health professionals to help.

Inspector John Young said, “Some pupils are taught in ‘nurture’ groups while others receive counselling in anger management and improving social skills.”

What do you think about pupils getting anger management classes?
